Overview
The organization is working under a SaaS-driven business model with a primary focus on the UK healthcare market. Currently in a critical scale-up phase, the business is committed to establishing a strong commercial foundation and rebuilding shareholder trust through disciplined execution and transparent communication.
Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Head of Finance will lead all financial operations and strategy. This individual will play a central role in driving the company’s scale-up journey, balancing strategic leadership with the hands-on operational management required in a lean, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
The CFO / Head of Finance will be responsible for:

  • Leading all financial operations and strategic initiatives for a publicly listed entity.
  • Designing and implementing financial processes and systems to support a scaling SaaS business model, including defining and tracking key performance metrics (e.g., customer retention, renewals).
  • Driving fundraising activities across public and private markets to secure the financial runway.
  • Managing investor relations by shaping the equity story, maintaining market communication, and rebuilding shareholder confidence.
  • Overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including management accounting, cash flow forecasting, and coordination with external accounting partners in Denmark and the UK.
  • Establishing optimal financial structures, including transfer pricing and tax setup between international entities.
  • Building and, over time, leading a high-performing finance team aligned with the growth trajectory.

Required Skills and Experience

Must-Haves

  • Interest in scaling a SaaS or technology-driven business.
  • Demonstrable track record in fundraising, with exposure to either public or private capital markets.
  • Strong background in investor relations and financial reporting.
  • Experience working in resource-constrained, high-growth scale-up environments.
  • Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in the UK healthcare or health-tech sector.
  • A “step-up” profile (e.g., a Finance Director or VP of Finance ready for their first CFO appointment).
  • A stable career history demonstrating consistent delivery and long-term commitment.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a resilient, self-driven professional who thrives in turnaround and scale-up settings. They are a strategic thinker with the ability to engage at an operational level, acting as a strong right hand to the CEO on fundraising and investor relations. Comfortable being a one-person finance department initially, this candidate will combine day-to-day execution with the vision to build a capable finance team over time.
Team & Culture
The CFO will work closely with the CEO and Chairman, supported initially by a finance intern and external accounting partners. The culture is frugal, lean, and fast-paced, with a highly supportive leadership team and board.
