Italy Coordinator (m/w/d)
Tasks
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Italy Coordinator to establish and
develop Naturland e.V.'s operations in Italy. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead our
Italian presence from the ground up, representing one of Europe's leading organic farmers
organizations in this strategically important market.
You will be responsible for establishing Naturland e.V. as a recognized and trusted
farmer association and certification body in the Italian organic and agri-food sector, developing
strategic partnerships, managing member relationships, and creating sustainable growth opportunities
in alignment with Naturland's values and standards.
Strategic Development
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategy and concept for Naturland e.V.'s establishment and expansion in Italy
- Observe and assess key development of organic framework and markets in Italy and identify opportunities for Naturland
- Build strategic partnerships with local stakeholders, certification bodies, and industry associations
- Manage operations in Italy
- Provide organizational support for the establishment and operations of a potential Naturland Italy board
- Assist in the development of governance structures
Member Management & Customer Experience
- Coordinate membership relations and ensure exceptional member experience for Naturland members in Italy
- Organize and coordinate national assemblies for Italian members
- Plan and execute member information events, national assemblies, workshops, and training sessions
- Foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among Italian members
- Serve as primary liaison between Italian members and Naturland headquarters
- Develop member retention and engagement strategies tailored to local needs
Representation & Events, Public Relations
- Serve as the official representative of Naturland e.V. in Italy
- Organize and coordinate Naturland's participation in trade fairs, conferences, and industry events
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and relevant organizations
- Develop and execute public relations strategies to enhance brand awareness and credibility
- Manage communications with Italian media, stakeholders, and the organic community
Operational Excellence
- Establish operational procedures and workflows
- Collaborate with headquarters in Germany
- Build local team capabilities and support structures as operations expand
Profile
Education & Experience
- University degree in Agriculture, Food Science, Business Administration, or related field
- Several years of work experience including a minimum of 2 years of management experience, preferably in the organic or agri-food sector
- Proven track record in business development, market entry, or international expansion
Industry Knowledge & Network
- Established network within Italy's organic sector and agri-food industry
- Deep understanding of Italian agricultural practices, organic standards, and certification processes
- Knowledge of European organic regulations and certification requirements
- Familiarity with Italian business culture and regulatory environment
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in Italian and English; German language skills are an advantage
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities
- Strategic thinking with ability to execute tactical initiatives
- Relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability in international business contexts
