Backend Developer - AI native (m/f/x)
from July 2026 on
Your responsibilities
In this role, you’ll take on a key position within our dev team: becoming our in-house expert for AI-supported development and helping elevate the productivity of the entire team. You're the person who flips the switch to AI-powered development inside our IT team - through your own work, through tooling, through knowledge transfer.
Things you will work on
- You build with AI as a co-worker. Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, agentic workflows - you use the tools that deliver the biggest leverage today, and you actively experiment with what's coming next
- You make others faster. You establish patterns, prompts, MCP integrations and internal skills that make the entire dev team more productive. You document, run hands-on sessions, and create those "aha" moments
- You automate. Hotel onboarding, content enrichment, customer service processes, internal reporting - manual processes are everywhere today that can disappear with the right LLM pipelines
- You ship real code. You contribute to production features, ideally in PHP/JavaScript stacks. AI doesn't replace an understanding of clean code - it amplifies it

Your profile
- At least three years of experience as a backend developer with productive code output (Frontend experience would be a nice to have)
- You use current LLMs and AI tools in your daily life and improve your own workflows
- A strong interest in AI tools and their application in the development process
- Understanding of prompt engineering, context management, tool use, RAG from a hands-on practice
- You understand modern software architectures and design principles.
- Clean code, maintainability, and good teamwork are very important to you.
- You have very good German and/ or English skills (C1 level)
- A university degree in computer science or a comparable field rounds off your profile
