We are looking for an onsite Embedded System Security Engineer - Linux/C++ (m/f/d) for our automation & digitalization team at our location in Berlin Reinickendorf.
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Secure Development: Implement and maintain secure coding standards and best practices using C# and C++
- Linux Engineering: Develop and maintain software in Linux-based environments
- Security Assessment: Conduct vulnerability testing and security evaluations on automation systems and software products
- Design Integration: Collaborate with development teams to embed security into product architecture and design
- Team Enablement: Provide training and guidance on secure coding and cybersecurity protocols
- Incident Response: Monitor and respond to security incidents related to software and automation systems
- Compliance: Work with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to security standards
- Research: Stay current with emerging security trends, technologies, and threats
- Cross-functional Support: Assist product management, sales, and service teams with product security information
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in security engineering or secure software development
- Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in C# and C++
- Linux Knowledge: Solid experience working in Linux environments
- Security Expertise: Proven skills in security assessment (IEC62443), vulnerability testing, and risk management
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with automation systems and industrial software is a plus
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Languages: Fluent in English (C1/C2) and German (B2)
