Legal Counsel, Marketing Creative & Media Law (all genders)- limited contract
THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As part of our "Competence Center Marketing, Creative and Media Law," you will help shape the legal framework for current and future Marketing-related activities. You will advise stakeholders on copyright and intellectual property, media and other related laws, be the contact person for legal topics for our Global and Local Brand Marketing, Communication and Creative Teams across Zalando and across all Zalando markets to ensure legal protection and compliance from the start. The position is a limited position as maternity cover for 18-24 months, depending on the commencement date.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Advise internal stakeholders on marketing, creative and media law.
Support marketing teams across Zalando (all markets and all entities) on marketing and campaign activations including influencer marketing, raffles, sponsorships, media buying and events.
Advise the Business on complex legal issues and handle licence and copyright-related contracts at Zalando.
Comprehensively consult in areas related to marketing projects and topics and support teams in the campaign ideation and production process, ensuring legal protection from the start and developing smart solutions, considering legal and economic risks.
Provide IP law (including AI) guidance in the design, content and campaign creation and usage of such.
Coordinate and oversee external lawyers and service providers to ensure effective case management.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have successfully completed state exams in law, preferably with above-average results.
You have relevant professional experience from an international law firm or an international company in the area of Media, Marketing, Intellectual Property, Artificial Intelligence and Contract Law.
You have experience and a talent to efficiently manage multiple stakeholders, internally and externally and the ability to translate their input into pragmatic and workable solutions for our Business teams.
You have an excellent command of English.
You are interested in familiarizing yourself quickly with the issues mentioned and a talent to manage different projects at the same time efficiently.
You are also interested in the economic and business context.
You enjoy taking on new challenges, fast thinking and acting quickly and proactively and managing and initiating projects independently.
