The Senior Manager Project Management position is pivotal in overseeing and directing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects across our growing organization. As we expand and evolve, this role will be integral to ensuring projects align with our strategic objectives and are executed efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will lead a talented Team of Project Managers and you will be essential to lead and coordinate our growing portfolio of cloud infrastructure and application modernization projects. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative cloud solutions, including Cloud Servers, Cloud Storage, Cloud Databases, and Cloud Hosting. Your expertise will help us drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will play a vital role in the remarkable implementation of our portfolio strategy and the exciting evolution of our business models. By standardizing project management practices and improving collaboration, you will enhance our ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Tasks
- Lead and coordinate a talented Team of Project Managers and a dynamic portfolio of projects, including cloud infrastructure and application modernization initiatives, such as Cloud Servers, Storage, Databases, and Hosting.
- Develop centralized project planning, facilitate robust stakeholder communication, and coordinate with vendors to reduce overhead and minimize project delays.
- Drive business growth by innovating project methods, standards, and practices that keep us ahead of industry trends.
- Plan, control, and structure both classic and agile IT projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Lead workshops for requirement analysis and effort estimation, directing project scope and direction.
- Coordinate our talented teams involved in projects and ensure a smooth transition to daily business operations.
- Prepare insightful decision-making templates for top management to guide strategic direction.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in complex project management, with proven expertise in leading teams and managing stakeholders.
- A degree or training focused on Project Management, Engineering, Information technology or a related field, coupled with significant practical experience in the Information Technology sector.
- Proven track record in leading complex projects in fast-paced environments, with familiarity in Agile methodologies, and tools such as Jira.
- Prior experience in managing software, information, and technology projects, with a deep understanding of industry trends.
- Certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master) and product development (Product Owner) are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results with a hands-on approach, capable of summarizing complex issues clearly.
- Excited by new challenges, maintaining composure in complex situations, and methodically driven to achieve results.
- Outgoing and confident, especially during moderation and presentation scenarios.
- Strong communication skills in English and German, verbal and written.
