The Senior Research Consultant Project Manager for Public Health and Epidemiology will support the study set-up, administration, maintenance and coordination of projects and logistical aspects of epidemiological and public health studies according to GEP requirements and relevant SOPs, supervised by a Senior Project Manager or (Senior) Manager/Director. They will also act as a contact between study team, sponsor and - as applicable - external stakeholders
The Public Health and Epidemiology Team is focused on complex studies where each study has a unique design with individual focus. We are therefore looking for people who are always willing and able to take on new studies with new challenges. The transition to Oracle data infrastructure, that the Public Health and Epidemiology is committed to, poses additional challenges that require people with strong pertinent technical skills and the ability to analyze, shape and optimize technical processes. Responsibilities
As a Senior Research Consultant you will:
- Support project management of epidemiological, public health and humanbiomonitoring studies, including below tasks:
- Application of GEP standards and relevant SOPs
- Support of set-up, administration, maintenance and coordination of logistical aspects of studies
- Support the creation of study documents
- Support the set-up and maintenance of study timelines and project specific working instructions
- Reporting (method reports, final reports)
- May support contract and procurement management activities and support of logistic planning and conduct
- Attendance of project meetings
- Support the coordination of interviewers and field work staff for different types of studies - including the planning and conduct of study-specific trainings
- Act as contact between study team, sponsor and - as applicable - external stakeholders
- May support data management and statistics (e.g., processing of error lists)
Minimum requirements and qualifications:
- Master’s Degree, preferably in Public Health, Epidemiology or adjacent fields such as Medicine, Biology or Social Sciences
- At least 4 years of experience in managing research projects in Real-World Research, Public Health, Clinical Research or Epidemiology
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with database technologies, preferably Oracle Database or Microsoft SQL-Server and legacy tools such as Microsoft Access and Visual Basic in a research context
- Excellent working knowledge of IBM SPSS or other statistics software packages such as R or Stata
- Ability and readiness to optimize processes continuously
- Ability to self-organize and multi-task, systematic performance of activities in a timely and accurate manner, also in the case of workload peaks
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability and readiness to explore and understand complex interrelationships
- Careful, precise work
- Read, write and speak German fluently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Very good English skills.
