Student Assistant (m/w/d) - Public & Leadership Programs

20 hours/week | Berlin | September 1, 2026 - August 31, 2027

At Aspen Institute Germany, we address the defining political and societal challenges of our time. We bring together leaders from government, business, academia, and civil society and develop dialogue and leadership programs on topics including European security, transatlantic relations, geopolitics, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and democratic resilience.
Our Public & Leadership Programs foster transatlantic dialogue on current political and societal challenges. We organize high-level conferences, public events, and dialogue formats while bringing together leaders from government, business, academia, and civil society. In addition, we develop leadership programs that strengthen reflection on values, responsibility, and leadership in democratic societies.
Your Responsibilities

  • Provide organizational and technical support in the preparation, delivery, and follow-up of conferences, workshops, and events (virtual, hybrid, and in-person).
  • Support the planning and implementation of high-level public events and leadership formats.
  • Conduct research and contribute to the preparation of events, reports, and publications.
  • Assist with participant management and the coordination of national and international guests.
  • Support the Institute’s social media activities and the creation of digital content as well as the Institute’s newsletter.
  • Assist with project analysis, reporting, and the maintenance of project databases.
  • Support the Institute’s leadership and project team with administrative tasks.

Your Profile

  • You are currently enrolled in a relevant university degree program.
  • You have a strong interest in international affairs, transatlantic relations, democracy, leadership, and public dialogue.
  • You have an excellent command of both German and English, written and spoken.
  • You have experience using social media professionally or personally.
  • Experience with graphic design or layout software is an advantage.
  • You work independently, are well organized, and pay close attention to detail.
  • You are a proactive team player with strong organizational skills.
