Location: Berlin
A leading tech company with a full German banking license is seeking a Tax Specialist professional to join their team.
Role Overview
The Tax Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing tax processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing advisory support on tax-related matters across various subsidiaries and branches. The position involves collaboration with both internal teams and external consultants to support the company’s financial strategy and continued growth.
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all tax-related matters across the organization, with support from external tax consultants as necessary
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns for the company and its subsidiaries
• Design and implement effective tax processes to meet relevant regulatory requirements
• Advise business units on tax treatment related to new financial products
• Act as the primary liaison with internal and external auditors, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance

Your Profile

• 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, accounting, or auditing
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, HGB, and German Tax Law
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; knowledge of SAP S4/Hana is a plus
• Fluency in both English and German
• Proactive and adaptable mindset suited to a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and high standards of integrity
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders effectively
• Results-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
