About the Job
We’re looking for an experienced Team Lead Accounting (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies and lead its core accounting and financial reporting operations.
In your day-to-day work, you’ll focus on managing the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and collaborating across departments, and get the opportunity to contribute to key projects across finance and operations.

In this role, you’ll:
- Lead and manage the core accounting team (currently 2 professionals)
- Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping and preparatory accounting tasks
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
- Prepare and analyze monthly material and logistics-related expenses, identifying variances and ensuring accurate reporting
- Collaborate with other departments and the board of management on financial accounting and tax-related topics
- Lead accounts receivable processes, including dunning and external inquiry handling
- Act as liaison with the company’s external accountancy firm
- Contribute to finance initiatives that improve working capital management in an international context
Your Profile
- Previous experience in an audit firm (Big Four or mid-tier is a plus) and/or in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a focus on finance, accounting, or equivalent qualification
- Solid knowledge of both IFRS and HGB accounting standards
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Strong communication skills, fluent in both German and English
- Familiarity with accounting and business systems, especially DATEV, DUO (DATEV Unternehmen Online); experience with expense management tools and Salesforce is a plus
Please note that we are looking for support in the Berlin office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
