Overview
ReDI School of Digital Integration is a non-profit tech school offering free, high-quality digital education to refugees, migrants, and marginalized locals. Through a combination of coding courses, career services, and mentorship, we help our learners gain valuable skills and access to job opportunities in Germany's tech ecosystem.
Your mission
As Tech Education Lead in the Digital Career Program, you will drive the development, organization, and continuous improvement of our most advanced tech courses for learners preparing for careers in the German tech industry. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team committed to creating inclusive, learner-centered pathways to employment.
This role requires being based in Berlin, with flexibility for hybrid work (3 days of home office). You will work collaboratively across locations but remain embedded in the local Berlin team.
Your tasks
- Design Future-Ready Learning Experiences: Lead the creation of cutting-edge tech learning journeys tailored to diverse adult learners preparing for jobs in the German tech market. Apply learning experience design (LXD) principles to ensure relevance, engagement, and inclusivity across all content and formats.
- Drive Program Management with Agility: Oversee the planning of educational activities, including tech workshops and courses in Web development, Data & AI and UX/UI. Follow up on the execution of each learning semester, managing timelines, resources, and communications with precision. Use agile methods to adapt quickly to feedback, streamline operations, and deliver high-impact programs at scale.
- Champion Volunteer Enablement: Collaborate with trainers engagement lead to equip our community of volunteer teachers with clear onboarding processes, effective training materials, and responsive support. Host workshops and feedback sessions to help volunteers grow in confidence and teaching effectiveness.
- Curate and Optimize Learning Tools: Maintain and evolve the use of digital learning platforms and tools, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with instructional goals. Troubleshoot technical issues and advocate for tool improvements as needed.
- Ensure Continuous Quality and Innovation: Regularly collect and analyze feedback from learners, teachers, and stakeholders. Use this data to drive meaningful improvements in course quality, learner outcomes, and engagement levels.
- Collaborate Across Teams and Locations: Work closely with other Tech Education Leads across ReDI School to harmonize curricula, share best practices, and co-create scalable solutions. Maintain alignment while adapting to local community needs in Berlin.
- Conduct Market Research to Guide Course Design: Analyze tech industry trends, employer needs, and local job market data to inform the selection and prioritization of courses. Ensure our curriculum aligns with the most in-demand roles and skills to maximize learner employability.
Your profile
- Location: You are based in Berlin and committed to being embedded in the local tech education ecosystem.
- Exceptional communication skills, you simplify complexity, build trust across cultures, and inspire action.
- User-centered mindset, iterate quickly, and adapt solutions to user feedback and real-world constraints.
- Experience in program or project management, you’re confident in juggling multiple priorities and aligning diverse stakeholders.
- A solid background in either the tech industry or in designing impactful adult learning experiences, through Learning Experience Design (LXD), instructional design, or adult education, particularly in digital and blended learning environments.
- Hands-on experience with learning platforms (e.g., Moodle, Google Classroom, Miro, GitHub etc.) and content creation tools.
- Awareness of current and emerging trends in the tech job market, and how they translate into meaningful educational content.
- A team-oriented approach, collaborative, empathetic, and open to feedback and iteration.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with agile and Scrum methodologies, especially in education or nonprofit settings.
- Previous industry experience in a tech role (e.g. software development, UX/UI, or data science).
- Awareness of inclusive and accessible education practices.
- German language skills (not required, but helpful for local engagement).
